Manufactured exclusively in New Zealand for White Cloud, these luxurious premium Cashmere duvets are exceptionally soft and warm, but incredibly light. The handle of Cashmere is without comparison and these particular duvets have been developed with close attention to detail and quality.
White Cloud offers a choice of two weights of Cashmere duvet. When making a decision, bear in mind that Cashmere is considered to be eight times warmer than conventional wool. If you are looking for a duvet that will be suitable for most of the year, we would definitely recommend the 200 gsm (in the winter you may need an additional fine wool blanket) but if you feel the cold and are looking for a plumper duvet, then the 350 gsm would be more suitable. At White Cloud we recognise that customer requirements can vary, and helping customers select the most suitable duvet is part of the personal service we offer.

Q. How do I decide whether to choose a lighter 200 gsm or a warmer 350 gsm cashmere duvet?
A. You need to bear in mind that good quality cashmere is eight times warmer than conventional wool- if you tend to be a warmer person, we would definitely recommend the 200 gsm. If however you live in a particularly cold part of the country and struggle when it is cold we would suggest the 350 gsm.
Q.What makes the cashmere in a White Cloud duvet so special?
A. All the cashmere in these duvets comes with a unique provenance. In recent years the rising demand for cashmere in the western world has led to "desertification" in some areas. By buying a White Cloud cashmere duvet you can be sure that the cashmere has been sourced in a responsible way and it also comes with 100% manufacturing/processing guarantee.
Q. Tell me why I should invest in such an expensive duvet?
A. This is an investment in longterm quality and workmanship. Made to exacting high standards, these luxurious duvets are not made for anyone else and White Cloud is proud of its growing reputation for high standards and consistently good products. From the first sourcing of the cashmere to the final part of the production process, you can be assured that these duvets have passed an exacting and rigorous check for quality and excellence.
Cashmere is the rarest and most precious of natural fibres, yet it is the product of one of the harshest of climates. The harsher the environment, the better the quality. The very finest comes from Inner Mongolia and Iran. Cashmere is the fine downy underfleece from a Kashmir goat and it is collected during a short spring season of only six to eight weeks before the goat starts to moult. Each goat produces only 200-250 grams of precious cashmere. White is the most highly prized colour and this is collected, sorted by hand for impurities, treated to remove dust and then gently washed. This process separates the fine down from coarser guard hair and all this is completed before being shipped to New Zealand.
